Emily Aucoin, our swim instructor and instructor trainer!
Emily is a hard-working student studying Honours Biology at Carleton University. When she’s not in class or teaching with Aqua Life, she’s in the lab at school. Originally from the Scarborough area, Emily is an athlete – in high school she did dragonboat racing and enjoys horseback riding when she finds the time.
She learned to swim at the age of six. Upon completion of her swim school’s program, she was immediately hired on as an instructor. Her strength in teaching comes from her empathetic personality combined with her discipline. Her manipulation technique is used as a baseline for new Aqua Life instructors! She is great at taking the time to stop and help students who are struggling.
The eldest of four girls, Emily is reliable and loves to work with children. She especially enjoys having fun and building relationships with her students while seeing them progress.
She is also a big animal person. Growing up, her household was always filled with various pets, from cats to dogs and beyond. Emily is excited to learn and laugh with your child while they progress in the water!
